This historic collection collects every one of elbow’s seven albums together on heavy double vinyl for the very first time.

As a special feature every album includes lyrics etched into the runout groove of the vinyl. Guy chose each one and they were hand etched when the lacquers were cut in London at Metropolis Studios.

The release tells an alternative elbow story beginning with the early years, with tracks like ‘None One’ from the original ‘Newborn’ EP in 2000, right up to ‘Buffalo Ghosts’ from last April’s ‘Open Arms’ limited edition 10″ vinyl single.

Mostly self produced, it was recording B-sides throughout the years that allowed the band to hone their studio skills which in turn led to Craig fully producing and mixing the band’s last two albums ‘The Seldom Seen Kid’ and ‘Build A Rocket Boys!’.

“The band have always loved B-side land and this is a collection of our favourites. None of our B-sides are album rejects. It’s a different space, usually just post finishing an album when all the members of elbow are chiming and feeling very creative. This gives ‘Dead In The Boot’ a real late night vibe. My sister came up with the title after we released ‘Asleep In The Back’. Some of these songs are the favourites we have ever written. It was important to us that this collection be an album in its own right so for some fans it may seem like there are glaring omissions, but these songs are the ones that hung together perfectly.” Guy Garvey – Elbow
